Blood Promise

Blood Promise by Richelle Mead

This book was….interesting.  There were A LOT of twists and turns.  Can’t wait to see what happens next.

 Wolves, Boys...

Wolves, Boys, & Other Things that Might Kill Me by Kristin Chandler

It has boys, wolves, ranchers, violence, mystery, and everything in between.  It is a pretty good book, I hope there’s a second.

Bree

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by Stephenie Meyer

This book gives you a little insight of the life of the other vampires; what happened and why.  It was a nice twist to the saga.

 The Sight

The Sight by David Clements-Davies

Wow, this was a very powerful book, I don’t recommend reading it if you sob every time a main character dies, because you will be dehydrated by the end.  This book is gripping.  When someone was in mortal danger, you didn’t actually know if they would survive or not.  And a dark undercurrent of good versus evil runs through the entire book.  It also questions if evil is truly evil and good truly good.  I recommend this book, as well as Clement-Davies’ first book, Firebringer.

watsons go to birmingham

The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis

I liked this book it tells about the sad times in the civil rights movement.

 robinson crusoe

Robinson Crusoe by Daniel DeFoe

If you like adventure stories with action, pirates, and shipwreck survivors you have to read this book. This is a very good book that is well written.

thirteen problems

The Thirteen Problems by Agatha Christie
aka The Tuesday Club Murders

Agatha Christie is truly a master of good mysteries. In this book, she weaves together 13 creative crimes as stories being told one evening at a party.

 high hurdles

High Hurdles. Collection 1 by Lauraine Snelling

Though this book is in the children's section, it is a great book about what I really love: horses. It is also a book about the challenges in life for a 14 year old girl in modern America. I really enjoyed this book, and plan to read High Hurdles Collection 2 as well.

Twisted

Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson

This book was very, very good! When I was reading it, it seemed Tyler was telling me about his life. The book "Twisted" kind of felt like a diary. Also, it told you the perks of being an older teen. Even though a few bad things happened it was all ok in the end. I am glad that I picked up this book. I couldn’t put it down! It told you about love, heartbreak and disasters. If you can’t find a book that you want to read, make sure you at least try Twisted!

 Darkest Hour

The Darkest Hour by Erin Hunter

This is the best Warrior book I have read so far. Erin Hunter describes everything perfectly so that you feel like you're there with the character.

Curious Case

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button by F. Scott Fitzgerald

This book was so interesting. It’s amazing that this book is so old but it’s one of the best books I have ever read. It’s from 1922! I liked how detailed this book was but it was not too descriptive, like other books that I have read. I loved how he did everything that an average person does but backwards. Like have a childhood, go to war, get married and much more. I can just imagine how Mr. Roger Button must have felt when he saw the old man instead of his newborn baby! This book was great!

 Across the Universe

Across the Universe by Beth Revis

A FANTASTIC trilogy set in futuristic outer-space. I finished the first book in one sitting, waited for the second, and now am anxiously awaiting the third. A must-read!

East

East by Edith Pattou

Edith Pattou did a fantastic job with her version of the old fable "East of the Sun and West of the Moon". With 5 distinct personalities telling their version of the story, all are masterfully woven together to create a magical fantasy.

 Rose

Rose by Jeff Smith

This book was amazing; it kept me guessing until the end. It was a prequel to another series and reveals a lot about the other books. The book was just, to put it plainly, amazing!

Promise of the Wolves book cover

Promise of the Wolves by Dorothy Hearst

Good book.  About several wolf groups under control of the great wolves. They must stay away from humans and yet they have a yearning to join the wolves. Kipcha has a stronger yearning than most and finds the human world irresistible. Her choice will change the way humans and wolves relate forever.

 Broken Chords book cover

Broken Chords by Barbara Snow Gilbert

I loved this book. This book is very well written…I recommend this book to everyone, but mostly to all teens who think music is their life like I do.

Freshman Year book cover

Freshman Year & Other Unnatural Disasters by Meredith Zeithlin

I absolutely loved this book! It was so interesting how Meredith put the story together. When I go to freshman year I will be semi-prepared with just this book in hand. This is one of the books that can make you utterly depressed then you will bursted out laughing! It is my new favorite book.

 Bone book cover

Bone: Out of Boneville by Jeff Smith

Very good. Especially since it was a graphic novel.

Starship Troopers book cover

Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein

I watched the movie, then decided to read the book. It was different in ways that I never would have expected. Some characters never did or said some things. Even one character didn't even die in the book. The book was just amazing it blew me away how good it was!

 Angel Burn book cover

Angel Burn by L.A. Weatherly

I loved this book. It was full of romance, action, teen problems. An amazing read!!!

Angel Peterson book cover

How Angel Peterson Got His Name by Gary Paulsen

Even though it is geared towards an elementary school audience, the content of this book makes it a hilarious and quick read for any age. From going over a waterfall in a barrel to wrestling with a bear, you will enjoy ever story Paulsen presents from his childhood.

 Fever Book Cover

Fever by Lauren Destefano

This was a book I could not put down! I loved every second of it! And the ending--it just leaves you wanting the next book. Like RIGHT NOW! Ack, I can't wait!!!

Sun Also Rises book cover

The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway

This book was a little like The Great Gatsby but less likable. The dialog was weak and the plot was almost none existant. It rememinded me of the Great Gatsby because it had a similiar love triangle; a girl who leads men along, a desperately in love looer, and a jerk of a husband/fiance. Also, the narrator was very similliar to Nick, they both were pulled along in everyone's drama. The message of the book was pretty much 'Bros before Hoes'.

Hunger Games Book cover

Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

I was hesitant about reading a book that I knew millions of people were going beserk about. To me, its nonsense to geek out so much over some book and movie about people killing themselves. But, I gave in and read the first book in the series, The Hunger Games. I found it riviting, and I could not put it down for a moment.

 Gregor book cover

Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins

I thought it was fantabulous. While I was reading it, I could never put it down, and the forward motion kept me going till the end of the book in one sitting! Very exciting.

Redwall book cover

Redwall by Brian Jacques

An ingenious adventure that never has a dull moment! From heroes and humor to villains and action, Redwall is sure to delight people of many ages.

 Shatter Me book cover

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

I loved this book! It was really good and kept you going the whole time you read it! A lot of the superpowers near the end sounded a lot like X-Men, but then again, X-Men covered a lot of powers! Great book!

Worst Case book cover

The Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook: Weird Junior Edition
by David Borgenicht and Justin Heimberg

It was a very weird book, but it was catchy.

 Torn book cover

Torn by Amanda Hocking

At first, I was skeptical, because, well--it's about trolls. Trolls? There's actually a story about trolls? I thought it would be interesting, because it was different. BUT I LOOOOVE THIS BOOK! The whole story is genius, and you absolutely cannot wait for the next book!

 11 Birthdays cover

11 Birthdays by Wendy Mass

I loved the plot, and the humor. These
characters made me laugh out loud!
